Executive Director

Dear Friend of the Spanish Action League,
Welcome! Thank you for visiting our new website and for taking time to learn more about our agency. As you can see, we have many different departments that serve to further our mission: to build on the rich cultural heritage of the Latino community by advancing its independence and growth through advocacy, counseling and education. Through our departments and programs such as Careers, Housing, Domestic Violence, Family Support, Youth, Radio, and Language we believe opportunities, economic development and education will bring the community to prosperity as a whole.
Since 1969, the Spanish Action League has strived to help a community that faces so many barriers everyday. For instance, the people we help, often do not speak English, and have difficulty adjusting to foreign cultural norms. We bridge the cultural and experiential gap, and give our clients comfort to hold on to in times of crisis. We strongly believe in what we do for the community, and will continue to fulfill our mission long into the future.
If you ever have any questions regarding our organization, are interested in volunteering your time for any events, or sponsoring an event feel free to call Shannon Ryan at (315) 475-6153, extension 204 or email at execassist@laligaupstateny.org

We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Rita Paniagua
Executive Director
